Christmas is coming......

Elder Lamb reminded me again today that for Christmas he would really just like a letter/card from everyone.

If you were thinking of sending a package he would rather just have the money you would have spent mailing it. I have to send the money via Western Union – so if anyone is interested in sending money let me know. I also am starting to collect letters/cards/pictures to mail to him. Just like last year, if you would like to send a few generic cards to misc Elders that would be great too! Sister Wire emailed today and said that we really should have Christmas boxes sent by November 1st – so I will give you two weeks to get them to me. That means your deadline is October 26th!!!!! This was his favorite present last year – To make it even easier, you can just email me and I will print it out. Can’t make it any easier for you!!

If you have any questions...just let me know!!

Fruity Pebbles in AFRICA!!!!

Hey everyone,
Well things are going good this week. Not much really going on except a ton of work. Even this evening we are going out to Kenema to go on exchanges with Elder Kpodi and Elder Grabau from Texas. He seems to be liking his area and I am excited to see him. Those 2 can get lonely out there and only come in a few times a month. That is just part of the work though.
So I had the best week ever, for only one reason. We were just walking down the street and we saw fruity pebbles for sell!! Yeah fruity pebbles as in cereal!!! So we had to buy a bunch of boxes of course. So we have been eating them all week now and just enjoying them. Too bad we don’t have any real milk. We buy condensed milk and then mix it with water. It isn’t too bad I guess. What can you do out in the bush. I also found some Irish spring body wash. Oh the adventures out in the bush.
We starting working more with the Book of Mormon. We have tried to have the people get addicted. So we are starting most people with the story of Ammon. They love it here and we are figuring out some other ideas to just get them reading. It seems to be working so far. Right now I just got to Alma. I am trying to stay ahead of my mom and sister so I have dedicated a lot of time to it. I love the Book of Mormon with all my heart.
Here are some of my favorites from the last little while.
Mosiah 2;41, 15all, 16all, 21;16-15, 23;14, 21, 24all\
Well you have to find some of your own for yourself.
We had a wonderful zone conference this week. It was so good to hear from President Squires and to do those things that we need. He really helped us to see how we could be better missionaries and let us choose whether we wanted to or not. I love him.
Yesterday we were teaching one man after church and we had a monkey come and start playing with us. It was rather distracting and kind of funny. He climbed on my head and after the lesson we got some funny pictures and things. It was weird.
Well that’s about all for this week. Not much but at least something right?
Keep writing and remember that I can only email family. You can still email but don’t expect a return.

No electricity = no lights, no pump and no water

Misc Info:
**dry season is now here and the sun is frying my arms and neck black yet again. Please don’t remind me that I am missing out on my snowmobiling and hunting adventures yet one more time.
**I asked if they have a lot of appointments that no one is home when they go for their appointment: at least 2 times a day. Sometimes 8 times a day. That’s why you always have 3 back up plans. Haha well I am doing better. You just have to treat them like kids. Haha
**A tree fell into our yard with 20 pieces of papaya and is still growing. it is kinda leaning on our fence so we are waiting for it to ripen and enjoy. Things grow so fast here - especially my hair. Well i need to get it cut now

Hey everyone,
Well this week seemed to just disappear. I don’t really know what happened. It seems like just yesterday I was writing to you. If every week was like this I don’t think I would remember anything except for my journal. Luckily I found some things for you this week.
Well our house broke again. Which means we didn’t have light for about 2 or 3 days - which means we can’t use our pump to get running water. So I found a funny scripture to go with that. 2nd Nephi 22:3, Haha good one right?? (2 Nephi 22:3 “Therefore, with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” No one tell him that I didn’t make you look this up – k?)
Well the scripture reading is going good and I am in Enos now. Yeah I have been really flying. All my spare time is to finish before Christmas. A long shot but I am trying. Well I hope that you are all reading along with the saints of Bo also.
This week we went and did a little service for one of our church members. He starting building a house and then ran out of funds so it stopped for like 10 years. So we went and helped him scrape off the moss from the cement walls. Note: this is a very nice house since the walls are cement and not mud brick. They were very happy and grateful.
Well here are a few teasers from my study:
2nd Nephi 1:5, 2;6-8, 6;5, 9all, 10;23, 26;8, 28;24,
Jacob 7;11.
Well I aint giving you as much anymore to encourage you to read more for yourself. And also it is hard to type the scriptures and is time consuming. Here money is time at the cafe. Well I am doing good and I love all of you!! Follow the gospel because it is true. It will bring you happiness. Even when you get sick or no one is home to teach or no one comes to church this week. Haha!! Well I am doing great and the work is nice so don’t worry. I love all of you and hope that you send some letters. Haha!!

The Bush Man

Hey everyone,
Well the computer is driving me crazy again. Well at least I can email something right? Things are good this week. We worked very hard and had to drop off elders at the bus and had to pick them up and things. It was fun.
Oh our electricity shot up to 300 volts and blew up 3 fans and most the light bulbs. It has been crazy all week and the company doesn’t care anymore. Owell what can you do?
On Monday for our family home evening the activity was stick pulling. Like Joseph Smiths favorite game. Well it didn’t sit well with everyone when the white man won. They all had to try and beat me but I wouldn’t let them. Haha it was fun and we all had a good time.
Well not much this week. The computer isn’t agreeing. You should all be reading your Book of Mormon along with me. I jumped ahead to 2 Nephi today. So you should be able to find your own insights. Don’t worry I will give a few every now and then. Good luck with the reading and I love all of you.
