This is taken from letters to Amy and Mom:
He says that they cook on a campchef stove pretty much. They have a shortage of gas so they no longer heat their shower water on the stove, so it is cold water showers for now (I would have thought they would want a cool shower because it is so hot and that would feel good – but guess not)
He told Amy that is rains almost every day and it is nice not to have the hot sun beating down on him.
And the GOOD NEWS!!! When President Squires came this past weekend he FINALLY got pouch mail letters!!! I was beginning to think all of the letters that have been sent were going into a black hole somewhere!!
